Biography

Mark L. Kelsey has been involved within Christian ministry for over 15 years, leading numerous individuals to a deeper faith in God. He has been president of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship-Atlanta University Center (AUC) Chapter for 2 years.

Moreover, he has taught countless in-depth Bible Studies to teenagers, college students, and young adults. In 1997, he attended Clark Atlanta University helping startup their midnight prayer program, run by New Generation campus Ministries (NGM).

In 2000, he graduated from the Barrier Breakers Men's program at World Changers Church International. In 2011, he received an M.Ed from Liberty University (world's largest evangelical Christian university). Presently, he is Apprentice to the Maturity Director, as well as lead teacher for the 201 Membership Class (Developing Spiritual Maturity) at Canaan Land Church International (Snellville, GA). He is originally from Miami, FL and resides now in Redan, GA.

Used as a catalyst ( a substance, usually used in small amounts relative to the reactants, that modifies and increases the rate of a reaction without being consumed in the process ) to put the Americas in the position of living out true Godly Character instead of just a vague Godly Conception .

I’m not a son of a renowned pastor or the graduate of a Seminary or Theological Institute.

You may never hear me hoop-and-holler, bring you to tears, or wow you with musical renditions.

My goal is NOT to be the next anybody, but rather be the FIRST me. With that said, I still do make every EFFORT to learn from others, be teachable, and incorporate tools that EFFECTIVELY work, but all with a focus of remaining true to who I am. I may not be the most charismatic, articulate, or refined but I will GUARANTEE you one thing…

"I will seek to put 100% of all I am into every message, each individual life, and ANY OPPORTUNITY that I am called to fulfill."

This is not MARK L. KELSEY Ministries and it’s not really about me at all. It’s ALL ABOUT JESUS and what He desires of me.

I gladly CHOOSE to take on what JESUS calls the GREATEST ROLE and that is the role of a SERVANT !

The message is all about a Godly Savior who chose to LOVINGLY choose me to present His gospel (good news) to the world. But, not only that, He chose you too! All you have to do is TRULY accept Him into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior (Romans 10:8-13). That’s it…there’s no more bells and whistles to follow.

However, once you are newly SAVED through authentic belief, confession, and commitment that’s only the beginning. You’re born again but now you need to GROW ! Well, this is one of the key areas where I come in. All I do is help you grow spiritually, especially in the area of Godly transformation (living a completely changed life for God)...

This is not just the only thing I do but it indeed is the MAIN thing I’m called to instruct. I’m definitely not the only one completing this endeavor but only one of many.

My message is to simply bring forth God’s message with as much clarity, realness, and application as possible. A part of my goal is to assist in making GODLY TRANSFORMATION seem extremely DOABLE .

------------The Speaker------------

I have been running my mouth for as long as I can remember. I come from a family of talkers, so I got it honest. I’ve often heard this statement from many editorial platforms,

" Everyone has a right to speak, but not everyone has a right to be heard. "

I desire to definitely be one saying something WORTH hearing. I have sought this stance over the years and have gained somewhat of a reputation as an individual with something to say, especially when it comes to Godly matters. I have been in Christian ministry for over 15 years, teaching youth and young adults Biblical principles and preferences.

Fortunately, I have a good track record within the vernacular of ministry. Evidently, God has graced me with a voice due to His undeniable gifting coupled with much dedicated study, stout boldness, and a down-to-earth attitude.

I seek to talk to people just like I could EASILY be in their shoes or worse, if the tables were turned.

I truly desire to get across to the audience whatever I’m speaking on, so much to the point where they could TEACH IT to others themselves.

First and foremost, I am who I am ONLY by the GRACE (unmerited favor) OF GOD...!

I don’t take the title of manhood lightly. I’m called to lead and point others, who will follow, to Christ alone (not to Mark). I group myself in four essential categories: Leader, Gentleman, Student, & Warrior.

LEADER: It is a privilege to lead and not just a delegation of protocol for me. Leadership doesn’t mean being an authoritative dictator but instead a noteworthy example. In order to lead better I have to be willing to be a great listener, and to continually follow the greatest leader of all time and beyond--- Jesus Christ .

GENTLEMAN: It is a privilege to carry myself within a manner that’s honorable, respectful, and caring. I have to represent myself well in Godly character, integrity, and tactfulness. I have to treat others the way I expect to be treated. I have to constantly WALK IN LOVE until I can no longer make any more steps forward. And the opportunities to move forward as a distinguished gentleman are endless.

STUDENT: It is a privilege to have the opportunity to learn from struggles, mistakes, and failures, as well as successes and victories. I’m always learning in the SCHOOL OF LIFE how to be a better person every chance I get. I have to see being teachable as a powerful tool that I should never relinquish. There’s always someone who will know much more than myself no matter how much knowledge and experience I gain.

WARRIOR: It is a privilege to defend my family with PROVISION & PROTECTION, the church with PRAISE & PROCLAMATION, and the world with PRAYER. The actual meaning of the name Mark is warrior or warlike.

"For, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes..." (Romans 1:16)

This is a title that I have newly embarked upon and continue to explore with many more manuscripts to follow.

I never desired to be a writer as a child but it grew on me. I’m anything from your ordinary writer. I don’t write popular fiction or novels but I write books that can be considered Christian True Life.

I even take on topics that most people shy away from in order to address pertinent issues within the world and the church. My writing career kicked off with my first book released in 2010…

FAITH, FOOLISHNESS, & FAMILIARITY: Why so many Christians are struggling with their walk

…a 300+ pages, hilarious but in your face, observational journey that deals with what true faith in God is all about and simply what it’s not. I wrote this book within 2 months. At this rate, it’s no telling how many more manuscripts I’ll kick out.
